Welded steel pipe manufacturing equipment is an efficient and intelligent production line designed for the continuous production of high quality welded steel pipes. The production process integrates advanced automation technology and precision process control to ensure that the finished pipe has high precision, high strength and excellent sealing. The following is the core production process of the equipment:

Uncoiling and leveling ‌

The raw material (steel coil) is unrolled by the uncoiler driven by the servo motor, and enters the multi-roll leveler for high-precision leveling, eliminating the internal stress of the coil, ensuring that the surface of the steel plate is smooth and wrinkle-free, and laying the foundation for subsequent molding.

Molding process ‌

The straightened strip steel is gradually bent and rolled into round or shaped blanks of specific pipe diameters by a progressive roll forming system. The closed-loop control technology is used to adjust the roller pressure and Angle in real time to ensure the consistency of the shape of the tube blank, and the error can be controlled within ±0.1mm.

Welding technology ‌

The molded tube billet is welded longitudinally by high-frequency induction welding (HFIW) or laser welding unit. High frequency welding uses electromagnetic eddy current to melt the edge and realize metallurgical bonding under pressure. Laser welding achieves ultra-high speed precision welding with high energy beam, which is suitable for thin wall or high alloy steel pipe. The welding process is equipped with infrared temperature measurement and X-ray flaw detection system, real-time monitoring of weld quality.

Weld treatment and cooling ‌

The welded steel pipe immediately enters the online heat treatment station, and the weld metallographic structure is optimized by induction annealing or air/water cooling system to eliminate residual stress and improve mechanical properties. The cooling rate can be intelligently adjusted according to the material thickness to avoid deformation.

Sizing and straightening ‌

The steel pipe is radial calibrated by a multi-frame sizing unit to ensure that the outer diameter and roundness meet standards (such as ASTM, DIN, etc.). Then enter the inclined roll straightening machine to correct the straightness deviation and achieve the "mirror level" flatness effect.

Cutting and collecting ‌

Fixed length flying saw or laser cutting machine accurately cut the steel pipe according to the preset length, and the incision is smooth and burr free. Finished products are sorted by automated palletizing system or strapping machine, which supports barcode traceability management and facilitates warehousing and transportation.
