Before starting up, visual inspection of core components such as the uncoiling machine, roll assembly, and welding system should be carried out to confirm that there are no loose parts or abnormal wear.
Test whether the parameters of the PLC control system (such as welding current and roll pressure) match the pipe specifications. If a numerical control program is used, verify the accuracy of the code.
After uncoiling the steel strip, it needs to be relieved of stress by a straightening machine to ensure that there are no scratches or creases on the surface.
Adjust the gap of the forming rolls according to the pipe diameter requirements. For example, for pipes with a diameter of Φ25mm, the gap of the rolls should be set at 1.05-1.1 times the thickness of the steel strip.
The high-frequency welding current needs to be dynamically adjusted according to the material thickness: For 304 stainless steel (1.0mm thick), the recommended current range is 120-150A, and the argon gas flow protection value is set at 8-10L/min.
The distance between the burr removal tool head and the pipe wall in the weld seam should be controlled at 0.3-0.5mm to avoid excessive cutting causing the pipe wall to become thinner.
Operation monitoring and intervention
Observe the data on the instrument panel in real time (such as motor load rate and welding temperature). If the load exceeds 85% of the rated value, stop the machine immediately to check the roll pressure or the deviation of the steel belt.
When the cutting length error of the flying saw exceeds ±0.5mm, the servo encoder needs to be calibrated or the synchronization of the conveyor belt should be checked.
Operators must wear cut-resistant gloves, goggles and flame-retardant work clothes. Flammable materials are prohibited from being stored within 3 meters of the welding area.
When adjusting the rolls, it is strictly forbidden to touch the moving parts by hand. A special wrench must be used and the power must be cut off for operation.
